Breast Cancer Screening

  • Age 40 and over: Mammogram and Clinical Breast Exam (CBE) annually.
  • Ages 20s and 30s: Clinical Breast Exam (CBE) at least every 3 years
  • Starting in 20s: Breast Self Exam (BSE).

If you have risk factors, a mammogram should strongly be considered earlier than age 40.

Cholesterol

  • Every 5 years or as directed by your physician.

Colorectal Exams

  • Age 50 and over: yearly or every 5 years, depending on the screening test.

Pap Test and Pelvic Exam

  • Should start 3 years after beginning sexual activity; no later than age 21. Then every 1-2 years.
